A juicy Maofeng green blend with tropical notes of candied pineapple and citrus zest. Brews up a bright, medium-bodied liquor with savory notes of umami and whipped oat cream. Perfectly-balanced. Quintessential.
Emerald is built upon an elevated style of Maofeng (“hairy peak”- in reference to the many downy buds that pervade this tea), produced in Guangxi with a traditional Da Ye (“big leaf”) cultivar. Our Long Kou maofeng comes directly from a semi-wild tea garden, and its twisted, twiggy appearance is a Guangxi novelty. Happily, because Da Ye cultivars tend to have such large leaves, this finished tea possesses a rare, enhanced flavor complexity and durability in the cup.

My husband, who is 1/2 Irish, loves this tea and I brew it up for him to drink before he heads out to work!!! We love so many of the teas at Artemis, but we each also have our favorites!!!!! I am also very much enjoying your new location in Blackstone--the atmosphere, the stuff--it's all so wonderful. I am also excited to be able to sit outside when the weathers.
