Inspired by smoke and obsidian, Dragonglass is a smooth, alluring black tea blend featuring one of the world’s oldest, most distinctive teas—Lapsang Souchang. This elemental tea tastes of sophistication shot through with a wild ferocity—dark woods, orange groves, and fire. Notes of malt, earth, woodsmoke, and leather are refined by aromas of warm toffee and sparkling pekoe.
Grown in the pristine Wuyi Mountains in the Fujian Province of China, Lapsang Souchang is withered over cypress or pine wood fires and set to rest in barrels to let the smoky aromas deeply penetrate the leaves. The final stage of their preparation again places the dried leaves over pine fires to absorb yet more pine smoke aroma.
Dragonglass (obsidian) is an ancient stone of protection and power used by cultures the world over as “warrior stones” (arrow-heads). Obsidian arrowheads were believed to guarantee a safe and successful hunt.

Steep 1 TBS (4g) of Dragonglass in 8 oz hot water [205ºF] for 3-5 minutes. It is always best to cover your tea as it steeps.
