Onyx is built upon a rare “gao wen” cultivar from one of the only all-organic farms in Yunnan Province, China, known for its exceptionally biodiverse ecosystem and lush topsoils, which impart a distinctive richness and minerality to this tea. This environmentally responsible farm also boasts an incredibly organized and progressive labor system, providing living wages, skills training, free housing, and career pathways for families who live and work on the farm.
